As we approach the end of 2009, we know that more progress has been made in the fight against global warming. Remember though, everything we have done to make changes in our lives is still only a small portion of what we need to work on. Enlighten others who may still be unaware of what they can do to slow climate change. Continue your own efforts to use less energy, recycle more, and spread the word in a gentle way that people respond to.
Have a happy and safe New Year, and let's all of us make our resolution to do more for our environment and more for future generations.
Remember, the Earth is not something we have inherited from our ancestors, it is something we are borrowing from our children.

GREEN HOLIDAYS
As the holidays approach, remember to give our environment a gift this year! Purchase products from manufacturers who don't pollute, cause animals to suffer, or otherwise harm the planet. Dress warmly so you can avoid running heaters, plan your pick ups of friends so you don't have to sit in an idling car, and try to get your shopping done in as few trips as possible!
Remember, our Earth is counting on you!

RECYCLING ISN'T JUST FOR BOTTLES AND CANS
You may not realize it, but many things we use in our daily life can be recycled. Cell phones, batteries, and even clothing can be recycled and put to use again. So next time you are ready to toss something out that you no longer use, think twice! If someone else might be able to use it, refurbish it or wear it, then keep it out of our landfills! COMPASSIONATE FASHION JUST FEELS BETTER!
Did you know that most fabrics and hides which are used to make clothing can now be almost perfectly duplicated in vegan, organic materials. What this means for us all is that there is no longer any reason to buy clothing which has been derived from animals which were treated inhumanely. While many people still turn up their noses at the idea of faux fur, or faux leather, it is my guess that it has been a while since these individuals actually took a look at the beautiful faux creations that are available now. Even top designers like Stella McCartney, Rachel Zoe and others have introduced extensive options which haven't inflicted any pain on a living creature. So the next time you are out shopping, explore the alternatives to leather and wool, and let compassionate fashion choices be your next move!

When you go out today, think about your energy consumption!
Keeping this in mind as you go about your day can really make a difference. Be aware that leaving your car idling while you wait to pick someone up, or tossing that plastic water bottle into the trash contributes to global warming. Think it through, watch what you do and make our planet a priority!

Yes you can be fashionable without wearing animal hides!
Gone are the days when man made materials looked awful when it came to clothing. In fact, vegan fashion is the true height of style and it's even easier to find than ever before. Visits to Target, Cathy Jean Shoes and Arden B all resulted in some hot items that any fashionista would be proud to spotted in. Fabulous boots, trendy handbags, cool jackets are all in for fall and all available in materials which did not cause suffering to any animal.

Green Daily- EATING GREEN
We've all heard how to live green, reduce energy usage and pollute less, but did you know you can also EAT green as well?? Eating organic foods, such as fruits and vegetables which have not been treated with pesticides greatly reduces harmful toxins which flow into our oceans and streams. Going vegetarian altogether is even better for the environment. A major byproduct of cattle farming is methane gas, which is terrible for our planet.
